Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom updated for Leopard

see_whats_possible.gif

After previously updating (warning: PDF) us on Leopard support, Adobe has released it’s first slew of updates for full Leopard compatibility. Photoshop has been updated to version 10.0.1 with the most significant fixes being the speed of moving objects contained within multiple layer sets, converting images to CMYK using certain profiles, and more. Lightroom has also been updated to version 1.3 and adds updated Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard support, along with additional camera support for the Canon 1Ds Mark III, Nikon D3, Nikon D300, Olympus E-3, and more.

Both updates are available via Adobe’s website.

    Hi John,

Actually this Photoshop update isn’t specifically related to Leopard & doesn’t contain Leopard-specific changes. The timing is not a coincidence, though: we were holding the update change list open so that we could test it against the final, shipping Leopard bits and make any critical changes needed. Given that we shipped this update less than three weeks after Leopard went on sale, it’s a little hard to characterize it as being “finally” released, wouldn’t you say?

    Best,
    J.
