Apple releases OS X 10.5.4 update

Apple has released its long awaited OS X 10.5.4 update for all Leopard users:

The 10.5.4 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Leopard and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac.

Find more information about the changes in this update at Apple’s support website.

The update weighs in at around 59MB, though this size may vary.

News Roundup: Thursday, June 26th

  • Well, it looks like Apple has seeded iPhone 2.0 software build 5A345, iTunes 7.7 Beta, and iPhone SDK 8 to all of it’s developers. The new version of iTunes has support for MobileMe and “Applications” in syncing.
  • Discovered in the readme file for iTunes 7.7 is a description for a new Remote application for both the iPhone and iPod touch that allows you to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home and will be a free download.
  • Apple is also now accepting applications for its App Store, launching on July 11th along with with iPhone 3G and 2.0 software update.
  • Earlier this week, Microsoft released updates for Office 2008, 2004, and a new XML converter for Office 2004 or v.X users.
